Scope
The standard applies to aqueous solutions with a specific conductivity less than 300 mS/m (determined in accordance with NEN 6412) from which particles larger than 0.45 (im) have been removed. The detection limit depends on the device used, as well as the type of lamp. When using an electrodeless dis harge lamp, arsenic levels can generally be determined from 1 µg/l. Note Sulfate levels above 100 mg/l reduce the absorption signal. It is then necessary to use the standard addition measuring method (see NPR 6450, p. 13). .
