Scope

This standard describes a method for determining the sheet thickness, the bulkiness and the apparent density of an individual sheet of paper or cardboard and a method for determining the stack thickness of paper. The method for determining the stack thickness is applicable to paper with a mass per surface area up to and including 224g/m2. Note This standard is not suitable for determining the field thickness of corrugated cardboard and comparable types of cardboard.
