Scope

This standard describes a method for the titrimetric determination of the carbon content from 0.005 to 5% {m/m) after combustion of the sample in a high-frequency furnace or an electric resis ance furnace and is applicable to the chemical examination of iron, non-alloyed , alloyed and high-alloyed steel.
