The standard applies to the examination of water in the boiler plant to which sodium sulphite has been added to prevent oxygen corrosion. Volatile iodine-consuming substances interfere with the determination. The sulfide interference can be eliminated (see 5). The interference due to non-volatile iodine consuming substances is eliminated by following procedure 6.2.
