This standard establis es the general quality specifications of computing technology media (hereinafter MTC). The standard extends to stationary MTCs used in automated management systems of any level and purpose, in data processing systems, computer machine networks, autonomous calculation centers and other applications, as well as to those embedded in machines, installations and instruments, provided that the MTC are intended for the collection, preparation, input, storage, processing, output, representation, reception and transmis ion of information.
