Scope

This standard establis es the general requirements for the selection of 70/30 cupronickel and aluminum brass alloys used in heat exchangers considering the corrosive aggressiveness of seawater as well as the analysis methods that allow evaluating the same. This standard is applied in the planning stage of new industrial installations and when exchangers in operation are re-piped.
