This standard describes three methods for determining the total sulfur content in solid mineral fuels. The first method is a high temperature incineration method and the sulfur oxides which form there are measured titrimetrically. The second method consis s of calcining the sample in intimate contact with an Eschka mixture and the sulfates formed are extracted and measured gravimetrically; this dosage can also be carried out titrimetrically, which constitutes the third method (a).
