This standard specifies a particularly precis gravimetric method for the determination of the fat content in skimmed milk, whey and buttermilk, especially for the purpose of knowing the effectiveness of the skimming operation. The method is also applicable as a reference method for establis ing correction tables for techniques using skimmed milk butyrometers. NOTE - When this precis on is not required, products can be examined according to the method specified in NBNV21-001.
