This method is applicable to the determination of aromatic sulfonates in alkylphenol ether sulfates, and small amounts of sulfonates in sulfated fatty alcohols. The molar mass of the anionic active ingredient must be known or determined beforehand, if the content is expressed as a percentage by mass.
