The standard only applies to self-contained open-circuit insulating devices intended:
——to is late the respiratory tract and eyes of the wearer of the device from the environment in which he or she is located;
——to provide him, without any dependence, with the air necessary for his breathing. Devices specifically intended for underwater diving, filtering devices, oxygen devices or others are not the subject of this standard.
