This standard specifies a method for determining the residual deformation of vulcanized elastomers with a view to measuring the ability of elastomers to retain their elastic properties at low temperatures. NOTE - Two types of specimen are specified. They do not necessarily give the same values of residual deformation after compression, and comparis n of the results obtained with these two types should be avoided. Whenever possible, the large test tube should be used.
