The purpose of this standard is to describe a method for measuring the longitudinal deformations of a hardened concrete specimen subjected to a uniformly increasing compressive force during a short-term test. Knowledge of these deformations makes it possible to calculate a secant modulus of elasticity and, if the recording is continuous, to establis a deformation - stress diagram.
