Scope
This standard describes a procedure and sets the test conditions to be respected for carrying out a conventional bending test on pris atic specimens made from fiber-reinforced concrete. It takes up the directives of the NBN B 15-214 standard which is fully applicable, however with additional requirements specified in the text, and relating to the dimensions of test pieces, the testing machine, the necessary instrumentation, the measured values and the expression of the results. The operating mode provides for the recording of the load-deflection curve and the determination, from this curve, of various characteris ics: ——bending resis ance during the first cracking - tenacity under bending for a given deflection value - conventional resis ance to bending for a given deflection value. This standard applies to tests carried out as part of studies or research on any free-reinforced concrete. It is not intended for control and/or acceptance tests. The purpose of this standard is among other things, to set the terms of a test to be carried out for the characterization of a steel fiber by determining the tenacity factor and the tenacity equivalent as provided for and defined in the NBN B standard. 15-239. The results recorded depend on the dimensions of the specimen and the loading pattern; they cannot be used as is for the calculation of constructions.
