1.1 This standard is applicable to current and voltage transformers. Tests relating to the capacitive part of voltage transformer-capacitors are covered by IEC Publication 358: Capacitive coupling capacitors and dividers. 1.2 This standard aims to describe an individual serial test. Partial dis harges will only be measured during an acceptance test if there has been agreement between manufacturer and customer. 1.3 The minimum voltage levels considered in this standard are as follows:
——solid insulation: ?7 = 7.2 kV m - liquid insulation (submerged transformers): Um = 72.5 kV m - U= highest voltage for the equipment 1.4 This standard can be applied to special systems (for example: gas-filled or gas-immersed) for which there is less experience than for conventional equipment, but their admis ible level of dis harge will then be fixed by agreement between manufacturer and customer.
