This standard specifies the relative humidity and air temperature to be maintained in rooms where textiles are conditioned and their physical properties determined. The standard also describes the procedure to follow to bring the humidity level of textile materials into balance with the relative humidity of the standardized atmosphere for testing. The standard applies to all physical tests on textile materials unless otherwis stipulated.
