This method concerns the determination of the flash point in a closed cup using the Pensky-Martens apparatus, fuel oils, lubricating oils, suspensions of solids, products which tend to form a film at surface under certain test conditions and other liquids. NOTE 1 - This method can be used to detect the contamination of certain lubricating oils by small quantities of volatile products.
