The method is applicable to all waters. It is especially recommended for the analysis of samples with low ammoniacal nitrogen concentrations, when photometric methods are applied. Certain raw and aromatic organic compounds (amines, chloramines, hydrazine, ketones, aldehydes, etc.) can make the method precarious.
