This standard describes a method for determining the mass of copper present in the particles collected on a circular filter by suction of a volume of air. We can deduce the copper content of the air sucked through the filter, when the volume sucked in is known. The method is applicable to filters on which at least 0.1 ug Cu/cm2 (flameless technique) or 2 ug cu/cm2 (flame technique) have been collected. The new filter can contain a maximum of 0.05 μg Cu/cm2.
