The purpose of this standard is a) to present a method for predicting the thermal sensation and the degree of dis omfort (thermal dis atis action) of people exposed to moderate thermal environments and b) to specify acceptable thermal environment conditions for comfort. This standard applies to healthy men and women exposed to indoor environments where thermal comfort is sought, or which deviate little from comfort zones. This standard can be used to design new environments or to evaluate exis ing environments.
