Scope

This standard sets out the general principles applicable to zinc coatings carried out by hot-dip galvanizing* on steel and cast iron parts, with a view to protecting them against corrosion. This standard does not apply to continuously galvanized products, such as wires, tubes, strips, sheets, etc.
