The standard gives dimensions and tolerances, specifications and inspection methods for steel tubes intended for water, gas or sewer pipes. These tubes are generally fitted with a coating. The specifications concerning the coating, as well as the finis ing of the ends, are the subject of a specific agreement between the contracting parties.
