1.1 General This International Standard sets out the particular specifications that must be followed for an accurate determination of the sound power emitted by a source compris ng dis rete frequencies or narrow bands of nois . 1.2 Scope This International Standard is applicable to sources which emit dis rete frequencies or narrow bands of nois . The source spectrum may or may not have broadband components from which dis rete frequencies or narrow bands of nois emerge. The method may be considered complex and too time-consuming for measurements of sources which mainly radiate dis rete frequencies of less than 200 Hz. For such sources, the free field measurements described in is 3745 may be better suited.
