This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the testing methods for the thermal performance of solar heat storage tanks(hereinafter referred to as the "heat storage tanks") of the direct heat storage type, indirect heat storage type, and other typer for solar systems which use liquids as the heat storing medium and store thermal energy as sensible heat. However, this standard does not apply to heat storage tanks which use heat collecting mediums or heat storing mediums utilizing latent heat. The heat storage tanks referred to here mean heat storage tanks having heat storage tank capacity of not larger than 1000L including those for hot water supply and for heat storage, and shall include those heat storage tanks which integrally incorporate supplementary heat supply devices.
