- Scope
- This Part of GB/T 15000 discusses the purpose of CRMs and their correct use. Chapter 2 of this part of GB/T 15000 gives definitions of the terms used (and indicates their sources); Chapter 4 states the statistical principles on which this part of GB/T 15000 is based. Chapter 5 discusses the role of CRMs in measurement science and the achievement of agreed measurement scales. Chapter 6 presents recommendations for developing criteria for assessing the precision and trueness of measurement procedures using CRMs. It applies only to CRMs that have been identified as homogeneous as described in ISO Guide 35F4]. Note: CRMs should be used to assess accuracy, but not necessarily CRMs to assess precision. This section does not describe the use of CRMs as calibrators, which are covered in ISO Guide 32 [-3].
