Scope

This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the methods for measuring the pump discharged) at the manufacturer's plant. Note (1) The discharge herein means the volume of liquid discharged per unit time from the pump. Remarks 1. The Normative Standards are as listed below. KS A 0515 Method of flow measurement by turbine meters KS A 0611 Method of flow measurement by float type area flowmeters KS A 0612 Measurement of fluid flow by means of orifice plates, nozzles and venturi tubes inserted in circular cross-section conduits running full KS B 5260 Electromagnetic flowmeters 2. The units and numerical values given in { } in this Standard are based on the traditional units and are appended for informative reference. 3. The pump head and the head referred to in this Standard are indicated by the quotient of fluid energy, that is, specific energy, divided by the acceleration value of free fall at a perticular sopt which is taken as 9.80m/s2.
