This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the methods for performance test (including the
cavitation test) given for the model pump corresponding to an actual pump at the time of
delivery of a large sized pump for the practical use (hereafter referred to as "actual
pump").
Besides, classes of the pumps to which this Standard applies shall be the large size
volute pumps, mixed flow pumps and axial flow pumps, and to the pumps for lifting
water power generation, this Standard does not apply.
Remarks 1. The pump may be delivered after the model test in accordance with this Standard in place of the performance test for the actual pump. Provided that the temporary assembly inspection of an actual pump and the like may be executed.
2. This Standard specifies only the matters concerning the performance in the range of steady operation of actual pump. Furthermore, the matters not specified in this Standard shall be in accordance with KS B 6301 and KS B 6302.
