Scope
1.1 This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the method of eddy current test, hereinafter referred to as the "test", to be conducted for the purposes of detecting cracks, flaws, and other defects on the surfaces or in the internal parts of copper and copper-alloy seamless pipes, copper and copper-alloy welded pipes, and nickel-copper-alloy seamless pipes, hereinafter collectively referred to as the "pipes". 1.2 The applicable dimensional range of the pipes shall be from 4 mm to 50 mm in outer diameter, and from 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm in wall thickness, and shall be within the standard dimensional ranges specified in the Korean Industrial Standard. 1.3 A through type coil, hereinafter referred to as the "coil" shall be employed for the test, and the frequency range used for the test shall be within a range from 1 to 1024 kHz.
