1.1 This standard lays down the requirements and the tests applicable to the rectifier equipment using polycrystalline semiconductor rectifier stacks and used for supplying dc power from ac sources at frequencies up to 2 000 c/s.
Note — In the rectifier equipment covered by this standard, the impedance of ac system is assumed to have no influence on the operation of the rectifier equipment.
1.2 This standard does not apply to.the telecommunication rectifier equip-ment other than those for power supplied to such apparatus.
