Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the characteristics of a shock test and states the three degrees of stress severity to be used to experimentally recreate an environment which is representative of that which the equipment may encounter during service use. 1.2 This standard does not apply to flight (crash) recorders or to passenger and freight restraint systems for which special, separate, requirements exist.
