Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the code numbers (in metric units), dimensional requirements, and physical and mechanical properties for a series of spot-welding electrodes, cap electrodes and shanks, mainly intended for resistance spot welding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. 1.1.1 This standard has been prepared in two sections. Section 1 covers standard ISO tapers and Section 2 Morse tapers.
