1.1 This standard ( Part I) specifies the profile and sizes and materials for the manufacture of venturi meters and venturi nozzles besides setting out the procedure for the measurement of non-pulsating, single phase, clean (free from dirt and free gases ) liquids.
1.1.1 This standard also provides data on discharge coefficients for use in computing the rate of flow through these devices of specified profile, when direct calibrations have not been made on them.
