1.1 This standard applies to polar aluminium electrolytic capacitors with non-solid electrolyte. It comprises capacitors for long life and general purpose applications.
1.1.1 Additional requirements for capacitors meant for special applications such as coupling and de-coupling at higher frequencies, photo flash, etc, are not covered in this standard. These shall be as agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer.
