Scope

This standard describes two analytical test procedures for the determination of moisture content in raw and calcined petroleum coke. Method A-l is applicable for the determination of moisture content ( as received) in raw petroleum coke. Samples obtained in 5.2.2 of IS : 1447 (Part 4)-1989* are used in this test. Method A-2 is for determining the moisture content of calcined coke and for raw petroleum coke (after initial drying ). Samples obtained in 5.4.3.6 and 5.4.4.6 of IS : 1447 ( Part 4 )-1989* are used for this test.
