Scope

1.1 This standard prescribes a method for determination of lint and trash content of cotton fibres by means of mechanical-pneumatic machines. The method is applicable to cotton taken from bales, laps, slivers or other sources of lint cotton. 1.1.1 The method may also be used for analysing the waste removed by different machines for the lint and trash content.
