Scope

1.1 This standard specifies requirements for sterile hypodermic syringes with needle attached, for single-use. 1.2 Sterile hypodermic syringes with needle attached, specified in this standard, are intended for use immediately after filling and are not intended for containing fluids or samples over extended periods, as for example, in perfusion pumps. 1.3 This Indian Standard does not cover the requirements for insulin syringes for single use.
