Scope

This standard covers the methods for determination of the loss on ignition and of the oxides of silicon, aluminium, iron, titanium, calcium, magnesium and the alkali metals in high silica materials ( over 94 percent SiO2). However these methods could be used for similar materials having silica content of not less than 90 percent.
