1.1 This standard covers structural and functional requirements of boiling type table model instruments sterilizer for disinfecting different types of instruments used in clinics and hospitals.
1.2 Only the sterilizers which are used in places other than the anaesthetic-gas atmosphere come under the purview of this standard.
1.3 This method does not give sterility since spores are not necessarily killed in the process. The method is, however, satisfactory for most general disinfection.
