Scope

This standard covers the requirements for ductile iron fittings for pressure pipes for water, gas and sewage. This standard is applicable to all ductile iron fittings having spigots, sockets or flanges as specified in this standard and also to fittings with other type of joints, the general dimensions of which except those relating to the joints, conform to this standard.
