Scope

1.1 This standard lays down the procedure for determination of point load lumps strength index of rock lumps which may be tested without any treatment. 1.2 The testing may be carried out either in the laboratory or at the site. 1.3 Uniaxial compressive strength and Brazilian tensile strengths of rocks may be obtained from co-relations.
