Scope

This standard prescribes the method of test for and permissible limits of toxic materials released from ceremic foodware used in preparation, storage, or serving of food and beverages. Noth— Ceramic foodware and crockery of china, porcelain stoneware and earthenware quality whether glazed or not are covered by this ttandard. This, how ever, does not cover such items as are made of glass, glass-ceramics and vitreous enamel.
