Scope

This standard (Part I) prescribes the pictorial markings indicative of the hazards involved in handling of dangerous goods. The pictorial mark-ings are intended to be used in labelling of the containers of such goods with a view to facilitating the recognition by persons of the main type of hazards involved in handling them.
