Scope

1.1 This standard describes the procedure for carrying straight beam, pulse-echo contact technique of ultrasonic examination of forging quality steel blooms. It also specifies the acceptance standards for forging quality blooms of dimensions up to 300 X 300 mm. 1.2 This standard shall be used in conjunction with IS : 3664-1981〓.
