This standard prescribes the requirements and the methods of test for Amyl Acetate, Tech-nical and Pure. Amyl acetate, technical, is used mainly as a solvent by the paint, varnish and lacquer industry, and amyl acetate, pure, is used as a flavouring material in perfumes and in photo-engraving and as a laboratory reagent.
