1.1 This standard covers two tables, namely, Table 1 and Table 2, intended for use in the determination of volumetric content of ethanol at 15°C in an ethanol-water mixture at t°C by the pyknometer method.
1.1.1 Table 1 contains specific gravity conversion data for converting the specific gravities at prevailing temperatures ( 10° to 40°C at an interval of every 0.5°C ) determined by the pyknometer method, into the corres-ponding specific gravities at 15°C. Table 2 gives data at 15°C for specific gravity in vacuum and specific gravity in air for every 0.1 percent by volume of ethanol content at 15°C.
