Scope

Covers requirements for battery locomotives having double axle drive and ventilated type battery box for use in mines and other industrial areas. 1.1 This standard also covers the battery locomotives with flameproof characteristics ( see 5.1, 7.9.1, 7.9.1.1, 7.9 8.1 and 12.3) for use in underground coal mines and other hazardous industrial areas with restricted applications.
