1.1 This standard (Part I) deals with the data and information required for the location and fixing the capacity of reservoirs, and specifies the postconstruction data to be collected during the operation of the reservoirs.
1.2 Details regarding the criteria and methods adopted for fixing the different capacities of a reservoir, namely, dead storage, live storage and flood storage, are dealt with in detail in Parts II, III and IV respectively.
