Scope

This standard prescribes a method for determination of colour fastness of textile mate-rials of all kinds and in all forms to the action of boiling dilute sodium carbonate solutions. 1.1.1 The method is mainly applicable to natu- ral and regenerated cellulosic textile materials. Two tests, one with and the other with- out the addition of a reduction inhibitor, are prescribed.
