Scope

1.1 This standard covers the methods for the determination of tensile strength of rocks by indirect tests on rock specimens, namely, Brazilian Test, Ring Test, Point Load Test and Line Load Test. 1.2 The tests may be carried out either in the laboratory or at the drilling site.
