1.1 This standard specifies the requirements for mineral insulated thermocouple cables and for mineral insulated thermocouples having one pair of base-metal conductors for general industrial applications.
Note — Mineral insulated cables and thermocouples are also available with more than one pair of conductors.
1.2 This standard does not cover the require-ments for nuclear primary loop applications for which there are special requirements.
