Scope

1.1 This standard applies to band filters commonly known as octave, halfoctave and third-octave band filters of the passive or active type, the latter including amplifier elements, for example, electronic tubes and/or semiconductor devices. 1.2 This standard specifies the most important characteristics of these filters together with the corresponding tolerances.
